Thumbs, who needs 'em anyway?!

Monday afternoon, Andy went a little crazy with a table saw while installing a wood floor and sliced up his thumb. The nurses said he was very lucky to still have it. I became very familiar with all the varieties of casts since it was on a poster on the wall and I was doing everything I could not to look at the thumb or what they were doing to it. : )

Emma, as soon as she saw it said "Oh Dad! A cookie will help your owie! I'll get you one!!"

The benefit of the pain was two days off of work for Andy this week and some family time.

We took Emma to her first McDonald's playground yesterday and couldn't quite keep her feet on the ground. Those plastic tunnels get so hot, her cheeks were flushed red. Oh boy, here comes summer with sun screen, swimming pools and ice cream sandwhiches.....to eat outside. :)
