5:30am is not for the faint of heart

Andy's normal work day calls for him to be at work by 6:30am (geriatric patients are usually morning people!)

He wakes up at 5:30am to leave the house by 6. (This is pitch darkness people, ungodly)

This impresses me.

He could choose to go to bed at 8pm to make up for such early mornings, and he could even request that I keep the kids quiet for that time, and do the bedtime routine solo.

Nah.

He stays up till roughly 11pm every night after we've put the kids to bed to have what he calls "us time". It's the only time in our day when our sentences to each other resemble being complete.

I was up at 5:50am this morning with a 2 yr old who had a headache from a very hard hit to the head yesterday. (Those darn dining room chairs don't allow for much rocking)

By 7:30am, I wanted a nap!

If your husband has a similar work schedule, or perhaps you yourself pull these hours, I salute you! I'm thankful one half of our marriage is able to pull it off.
