Warm weather for us here in Eastern Oregon. The heat seemed to sneak up on us. Emma lives for her swimsuit, swimming pool, the sprinkler, and popcicles! Livy is just discovering water and splashes until she's dripping wet and smiling as though she just discovered sugar. :)
Highlights for our June:
1) We took a family trip to Baker, Oregon and took the girls to the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center. Emma loved the "big horses" (buffalo statues) and kept walking around and around them looking for the quarter slots. Poor little girl has been on the Wal-Mart kiddie rides too often. :)
2) Andy took the girls swimming and worked with Livy on swimming "baby style". She adores him.
3) We sold our house. We're looking either at making a small move location wise or possibly staying in town and finding something a bit roomier. Either way, it'll be an exciting fall.
4) Livy began sitting up, feeding herself (just cheerios), says "da-da" and plays "peek-a-boo"
5) Emma is on a singing kick and loves to learn new songs. She's enjoying summer so much.
One more Emma story before I sign off. Yesterday, I explained to Emma what she needed to do in case she ever was lost in a store and couldn't find me. "Find a mommy and tell her 'Excuse me, my name is Emma Coleman and I need to find my mom'". I told her. She agreed and repeated it back to me a few times....Seemed a little too excited about the exchange. Anyway, later today, I wanted her to show Gma Sue what we had worked on. "Emma, tell Gma what you'd say to someone if you got lost..." Emma paused,
"Excuse me, I'm Emma Lou, will you be my mommy?!"
Oh brother, I told Lis that Emma can't get lost anytime soon.
Enjoy summer!
Love, the Coleman Family
