Second Blessings Closet

I thought I'd finally share about a project I started working on a few months back. Mom was the one to hear the idea from another church in WA and it didn't take long for us to pray about making that a reality for CCO.

We began the Second Blessings Closet of Calvary Chapel Ontario. And I love it.
The purpose is to "recycle" children's clothing, equipment, books, baby gear, maternity clothes etc. And give the Body of Christ a
n outlet to bless each other and in return, resourcefully be able to get what they themselves are in need of!

The response has been overwhelming. The room will barely contain what we've brought in so far and at this point, the plan is to open
the closet once every 1-2 months to let families "shop". Can you image what a blessing it is for young families to come down and pick up a pair of snowboots or a nice white shirt for FREE and even drop off the "too short, too tight" clothes their kids no longer need.

I am thrilled to see the Body of Christ caring for each other and willing to put energy into making this project (experiment really) continue.

I welcome your ideas, suggestions or questions! In the mean time, I'm happy to have a project and ministry to work in.
