The Small Things

Andy is working roughly 80 hours a week right now. That will change for school, but only WITH school. We still will see very little of him, we knew this would be the schedule for 2 years. The girls and I are getting creative with activities to occupy our time.

Yard sales are very popular here,
along with auctions. We've already found some really fun finds! These old books in the picture were .25 cents a piece, and the little table was $1.00!

Emma has a VBS to look forward to soon, we made contact with the local home school group, just finished swimming lessons and are making new friends....So yes, it's feeling more and
more like home.

Our house remodel is progressing. The roof is 1/2 completed, our family room is a bit of a mess. The wall-paper is half removed, waiting for the texturing process. (long story)

I'm hoping to plant some rhubarb plants in the backyard eventually. The girls have a wooden swing set coming soon that they're thrilled about.

Another one of our favorite family adventures is taking long walks through our old neighborhood. The trees, old sidewalks, lamp posts and homes are so charming. I drive through newer subdivisions now and they seem so very stark and bare. Plastic like.

The Coleman Family is enjoying summer. :)

I hate those long hours! Jason works those a lot too! I am glad you are finding such neat things to occupy you though. I can't believe you got that table for a dollar! That is a GREAT deal! I keep thinking I need to yard sale but can't bring myself to do it with 3 babies.... :) Someday! :)
