To be four again! Every new day is an adventure.
Sunday afternoon with the family at the local children's pond.
Fresh cherries in the bucket, baby ducklings nearby, and a brand new adventure....
Fishing! Daddy and Emma found fishing poles for $3.00 at a yard sale this week. We've never lived very near good fishing spots, at least never only 7 blocks away!
Andy and Emma worked at it, fixed up their poles, searched the beach over for the best casting spot, patiently reeled in seaweed only for the first 10 minutes. :)
Then, it happened. A tug on the line, a little girl with an open mouth and pigtails bobbing up and down....A rainbow trout. Emma's first fish.
A perfect family day. perfect.
For sake of keeping all the memories straight, it should be noted that Olivia was most helpful to her sister in this fishing endevour. She keep busy by splashing at the water's edge with these encouraging words for her older sister
"Emma, don't worry! I'm gonna splash and get the fish to hear that there are kids here and that those kids want him to come close so we can catch him! Don't worry Emma!"
