Beginning a New Year

The house is quiet, both princesses are asleep. At nap time, I have to choose whether or not to clean, shower, collapse into bed or do something "fun". I chose fun today and decided to create a family blog. We've enjoyed reading those of our family and friends.

Our new year began quietly as well, both girls asleep again, Andy and I rang in the new year with family but also together with a few minutes to ourselves, a kiss and tears of joy at the chance to begin a fresh, brand new year.

Livy will be 1 month old in just a few days and she continues to be the poster baby for contentment and a wish for snuggling. Her dark hair hasn't left and it looks like she'll inherit her family's blue eyes. She makes her Daddy's day by preferring his chest to sleep on the best. :)

Emma enjoys life. She is still wearing (daily) her Christmas clothes which is looking like it may soon become some sort of record. (Yes, mom is stealing them at night to wash them) She sings "Veggie Tales" to her little sister and her favorite phrase this past week is "Mom, you're a good mom" or "Dad, you're my pet." She is full of love and life. We could not be more thankful for our daughters.

I'm 23 today and not sure how to feel about it. : ) My favorite part of the day so far was a call back from my brother after we'd already talked for 20 minutes as he remembered what day it was! Haha, he made my day. Love you Aaron.

More soon,
