Bitter cold & Stuffy Noses

We've been getting into the single digits at night here in Ontario. Seems there's no room to complain when you hear what the rest of the country has for weather. Brrr.
Emma started a fever Saturday night which Livy picked up on Sunday. Poor little Liv had trouble breathing well for a few nights and Emma (in normal little kid fashion) spiked her fever again every evening. They both were "cured" with yummy medicine and lots of cuddle time. I'm thankful to have the first winter cold behind us, just hoping the flu will remain at bay.

This morning as I got ready, Emma laid on the bed next to a very happy Olivia and giggled at her every movement and silly face. Finally I heard Emma sigh with happiness as she called to me in the bathroom, "Mom!"
"Yes Emma?"
"My baby is blessin' the Lord!"
"She is?" (my heart was beaming)
"Yep, baby Livy is just blessin' the Lord!"
"Yeah....I think you're right Emma."

I realize that some day, parenting may hold heartache for us is some way or another, so we are thoroughly enjoying these days with the girls and praying fervently that their innocent hearts will stay soft and open to their Heavenly Father.

Andy and I have a date planned for Saturday in Boise and boy are we looking forward to it! The girls are napping, better go accomplish something.
Love from us.
