Real plate anyone??

Hm.
I'm 1/2 way through cleaning the house. Right now, "cleaning" in my house is actually picking up. Clothes, toys, sippy cups & bottles. It means making sure THE blanket makes it out of the dryer before naptime or trying to remember why Emma's toothbrush is still sitting on the counter....Did we forget to have her brush teeth last night? "Cleaning" is shuffling one bucket of toys from this room to that room, unloading a dishwasher full of plastic plates, most with kids designs, that we all use for dinner!!!

But then I stopped this morning, somewhere between sorting plastic food and matching pink socks to realize something. I LOVE being a mom! I do! It's challenging, what stage of life isn't?!

Want to know what I think just might be my #1 petpeeve? Believers who CHOSE to find SOMETHING negative to focus on, even when they've been blessed beyond messure. When there's "one problem" in their life that the Lord handles....suddenly another problem arises....Hm, suspicious. It's a choice people! We all know we can find trouble if we look for it. Complaining about your life, or the season of life God has you in, is in true form, self-centeredness. I truly believe that if we (and I!) were more aware of the other people God has placed in our lives and how we are meant to serve and bless them, we'd complain much less and focus so little on our own issues.

And then there are the Positive Petes of the world (which I jokingly call Andy), the ones that rarely worry and are much more likely to see the situation and circumstances for the blessings alone. Period.
(clop, clop, clop...) I just stepped off the soap box. And believe me, this lesson had a 360 degree aim, this is a reminder I need myself, almost daily. But I know which personality I wish to be known by.

"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13

"A cheerful heart is good medicine but a crushed spirit dries up the bones" Proverbs 17:22
