Crummy day.
We found out this morning that our garage was broken into over the weekend and most of Andy's flooring tools were stolen. :( The tools total over $800.00.
There was no forced entry, we always lock our side door since Andy keeps his motorcycle in there as well. He took a chisel and opened that locked side door within 4 seconds. FAR too easy, it was extremely discouraging. Our apartment office installed a deadbolt for us today on the garage door, but obviously it doesn't erase the damage.
Andy spent the day filling out police reports, checking all the local pawn shops for his tools and talking to our neighbors in case anyone saw anything. We found out our garage was one of three to be hit. It claimed our day and set our schedule back for so many projects that we HAVE to complete in the next two weeks.
And the really bad news, we didn't have renter's insurance. I don't know what we were thinking, but we didn't.
Quite a bummer. Andy was supposed to start working on a floor today, and finish the month's server's schedule for work and neither happened obviously. We're supposed to go camping on Sunday but now everything is up in the air.
Hoping for a better tomorrow.
