Can you think of anything better?
Tomorrow we're planning a family drive through the small surrounding towns and countryside to enjoy the beauty of Fall. My all time, no switchin', honest to goodness favorite season of all.
The leaves are quietly turning colors and falling gently.
As for the fam....Here you have it.
Andy- Busy with work
and school. Starting to arrive at the "meat and potatoes" of PT. The instructors are warning all the students that next semester will be beyond a full load and they need to brace themselves. Oy. He's happy to have his pickup back after (gulp) $2500.00 in repairs this last week. Bye bye financial resources....It was nice knowing you. Yesterday, he brought all three of us girls into meet his whole PT program. Talk about being on display! Not only that but they all knew our names and everything about us! Nice to know he talks about us a lot. One guy chuckled as soon as I walked in and said "Oh! Coleman, THAT'S how you have cute kids." Slightly inappropriate, but I was flattered still. :)
Nellie-BUSY! With what I love the most. Emma and I are finishing up our 5th week of kindergarten and I'm learning how to roll with the tide of MY family and their needs. I heard a mom this week discribe homeschooling in a way I really like. She said it's an opportunity to tailor your child's education to flow hand in hand with their strengths, passions and interests. So true.
So home-ec is right around the corner for Emma and I. She's a little cook/baker in the making.
Besides school, I'm busy as we start Awana, a Friday morning mom and kindergarten group, Fall-izing my house to be a sanctuary to my busy family and blessed to have found a great group of moms and their kids that we do many activities with. Then there's my task of helping Andy keep track of work schedules, school schedules, and clinical activities. Poor guy has about 100 reminders in his phone per week! All in all, I'm full-time wife and mom.
Emma- She's a reading machine. Learning new words every week. Today she's headed to a friend's birthday party at a Gymnastics Center and she couldn't be more excited. New friends, new activies and a 5 yr old boy named Evan who has a little crush on her. :) Emma dreams with me about our next home and what it will look like once we buy again......Her dreams are always complete with kittens and chickens.
Livy- Liv is so tall, she's way beyond the 100% percentile for her height. People no longer believe us when we say she's 2. Last night, we took her to the homecoming high school game here in town and it was her first time watching a marching band. She was enamored, called them "The Kings" (the hats) She continues to be a huge cuddler and is punctually in our bed about 6am, but we've developed a routine with her where she falls back asleep till 7:30 when Andy's alarm goes off. Then, like a shot she sits straight up and says "Breakfast guys! Breakfast time!" (she could out-eat Andy sometimes)
Enjoy your Saturday!!
