Rushmore

Our trip was wonderful!

Camping was a success, we loved visiting the Mount Rushmore monument and

BEAR COUNTRY was by far our family favorite. Something to take in for sure. It's a drive-through wildlife park with elk, deer, mountain goats, mountain lions, big horn sheep, and BEARS! Tons of bears, which came right up to our car. Amazing.

I almost have our Rushmore trip photo book finished. Since Andy and I both knew early on that there was no way I'd get to scrap booking each and every year of our lives, we landed on settling for baby books and nice photo books made online for each of our family vacations (or really big events).

Here's two little excerpts from the girls during our trip:

Livy: "Rount Mushmore" (Mount Rushmore)

Emma had asked Andy how he makes such good campfires...He began to give her the basics of how to build up kindling, use some paper scraps, where to place the big logs etc. She sighed and said "I wish you were still gonna be alive when I get married."

A bit shocked, Andy said "Honey, I'm sure I'll be alive when you get married!"

Emma sighed "Oh good! Then please just tell my husband how to make the fires."
