Everyone needs one, a friend. Not the standard "facebook friend"...I'm talking about that 1 stand out who doesn't need to start conversations off with the mindless: "Hi, how are you?", if need be, "You'll never believe this..." or "Coffee crisis!" work just fine. Better yet, you can go 2 weeks without talking and jump right back in the water.
I miss mine.
I don't easily make friendships where I feel comfortable with them coming over to my house (make-up optional) and folding my laundry or doing dishes with me while we chat about our kids' school books or a new hairstyle. With Miss L, it was comfortable.
Someone you can call for prayer and enjoy each other's kids.
I'm missing my Miss L from Watertown, who took no time at all

to become a dear, close friend. She's an amazing hair stylist, (whom I was missing even more this week due to Emma's "not so hot" EXPENSIVE haircut) a true wiz with all things creative, crafty and homemade, and one of those moms that is so amazingly down to earth, but yet a model I knew was something worth emulating. Hey, we ALL have off days, and no one's above that, but it's the ones living real who are so enjoyable to live life with.
I wish we were still in the same state, but I'm so thankful for the friendship the Lord gave us.
Love, N
