Home-keepers, I'd love to hear from you!
I love my home. I love being there, decorating it, re-decorating it and blessing my family with a (hopefully) generally cheerful, warm feel to it.
We are blessed to be in a place right now to have a "home" budget, but of course it doesn't fit my long list of "some day projects".
What things do you do to stretch your budget and still allow for home improvements/furnishing?
One of my favorite little tricks is to find what I no longer need and Craigslist it! I keep that money in a house envelope along with my list of needs for the next year. Just this morning, I sold a chandelier we no longer needed and that will go toward a dining room table upstairs in our school room.
Our house truly is not this bare, no matter what my fleeting feelings tell me. :) It's a process to re adapt to life after school!
Love to hear your thoughts!
