I am by far, much more sentimental than I was before I had children.
It used to be that I could easily toss out old artwork from my kindergarten year, or not think twice about keeping a prom dress....But oh how the mighty have fallen! I am reduced to keeping ziplock bags of my babies' first cut curls, 600 photos of a first trip to the beach, boxes of scrap paper that the girls scribbled "I love you" notes on to Andy and me.
So, it won't come as such a shock to you that I also have to document my little girls' first ballet recitals!
Emma's experience was with a much more laid-back relaxed group who's instructor did a fabulous job, but taught for the fun of it. It was what we had available at the time.
Olivia's ballet academy is much more scheduled, professional and has just the right mix of serious but playful teaching for the age group. Liv's first recital was called "Dance and Play" and their number was called "Lullaby".
I decided to upload the rehearsal over the actual performance, because I was in the front row for the rehearsal and you can see Livy so much better! They forgot the 2nd half of the dance in the rehearsal but it's still cute. They did much better for the performance!
