While cleaning my room tonight with the girls,
I tripped over a storage container and BROKE my toe.
I am so sad.
This is my first broken bone ever and man does it hurt.
I AM thankful however for my husband who took charge and made me take off my sock to start with (I was afraid to), revealing a pretty purple-ish color then taped it up so if and when Livy would run into it, I wouldn't collapse in utter agony.
Now I'm sitting in bed icing this dumb toe and thinking about how much this will change the next few days. Not that I'll stay down, I can't do that. But I will have to move some plans around.
I finally seemed to find a rhythm for running every day which is now shattered for a while. :( That's a huge disappointment, and Andy's parents will be here next week and we have lots of walking planned (the zoo, the mall of America). I need this toe to heal QUICK.
Ice, elevate, repeat.
Thankful I still HAVE all my toes. It could be worse. :)
