Snow Stories

Back home, the earliest of Spring signs are emerging.
Here, Winter is in full swing.

You can see that our back fence is disappearing.
We keep saying we need to set one of the girls out in the snow for depth perception, then when it comes right to it, none of us want to do all the work that goes with bundling up. :)

I've been wishing for a sewing machine, I don't know how to sew, but all the sudden I really want to!

My mind has been on Titus chapter 2 and Prov 31 all this week, but again tonight, and the exhortation given to older women to teach the younger...and I'm thankful that there truly are women here, where we've landed for who knows how long, that I can look to for Godly wisdom, instruction and encouragement. I'm anxious to learn this summer more about gardening and canning. There's one woman in town who I admire for having a whole family of grown children who are respectful, delightful and love the Lord.....I want to spend more time with her. But normally, and this season is without exception thanks to technology....I don't have to look much farther for that older woman teaching than from my own mom.

And for that, I'm thankful tonight.

I miss you! You are very sweet to say nice things about me. You will be a perfect example for your girls one day as well! Love you, Mom
