We woke up early. Before dawn, a bit of a rude awakening. A bright, bold flash of light burst into our bedroom.
Lightning.
Amazing all the same. The thunder crack that followed told us 2 things.
1. We were about to get a great thunderstorm
2. Our girls would be in any minute. (They ended up surprising us, they DID come it to tell us rain was coming through their window, but then sat on their bed and watched the storm for the next hour)
There's nothing quite like the majesty of thunderstorms, it's nature's reminder to us of the power of it's Creator. I love those storms.
Thankfully we'd planned to be up early anyway to make the girls a
French Toast breakfast using some new home-made berry sauce we'd just bought. The Hudderites here make amazing jams and jellies, they're sold at Andy's grocery store.
French Toast, coffee and our first loaf of bread from our bread machine.
Wonderful.
