I've always loved the hunt of a true 'deal', a bargain price....Since 4 of the 9 years Andy and I have been married have been years spent in school, that love for frugal finds turned into necessity. It's one way I can help Andy, making sure I stretch out the family budget.
Fridays & Saturdays are adventure days. When we have free weekends, we set out as a family with coffees in hand, our "yard sale" budget,
(including the girls, they are becoming $$ savvy, with eyes for low prices) and the excitement of knowing we just may find that camping table we've been looking for....Maybe snow pants for next year, or size 12mo boys clothes. Maybe we'll only return with a .25 cent boiled egg slicer, but it's a family event, and one that I know is wisely using the money we've been given.
Some people love to show their food couponing treasures, (there are some MASTERS out there)....Well, for my own sake and memories more than anything else, I decided to add a weekly Sunday post of my weekend finds. So come shop with me!
"Shopping to Save"

Homeschooling is central in our home, books and puzzles are rarely overlooked!

These weren't my ideal barstools, but they fit perfectly for the space I need them in, and I know I can resell them for the same amount if not more.

Science next year! (A bit of an improvement over a $17.99 2nd grade Science book)

Emma had the only clothes scores of the weekend.
Yard Sales Tip: "Unless you have a very specific item in mind and know the exact sale it's been advertised at, I suggest not navigating your shopping trip by advertised sales....Rather try learning the better neighborhoods in your area and make a driving pattern to find sale signs. There's excitement to the "hunt on the hunt" and less frustration in reaching certain sales in time to see their advertised goods leaving in someone else's hands" -N
