Practical love (aka boring but sincere)
takes on a whole new meaning when one of your husband's gifts for his 29th birthday is his favorite type of Alka-seltzer.
Yes, I can laugh at myself too. But hey! We just bought a house, both our cars have needed extensive repairs and I love making birthdays special, but there ARE financial limitations. :)
The kicker, since he was mentioning how much he was needed some, I pulled it out of my purse 6 days before his birthday, with a smile and said "Happy Birthday."
He could barely stop laughing.
At least we "get" each other.
