Day 3
Disappointment and Success!
I tried baking dairy, gluten, egg and nut free Banana/Zucchini bread last night. Total BUST. :( I was feeling pretty down about it, mostly because I was really craving bread. Andy held my arms up in my moment of weakness and assured me that we'll have a lot of failed recipes before we get into a new groove with Paleo, and reminded me that it would all be worth it.
Here's what DID work today.Breakfast Egg Biscuits (from Paleo Comfort Foods) Divine. (kids loved)
- To the book recipe, I added some sausage, chicken, rosemary and garlic.
- (This was just eggs, sauted onions and green pepper, salt and pepper)
Rosemary Garlic Potato Wedges
- True Paleo-ists don't like potatoes in their diets too often, but until I learn more dishes, we're gonna have potatoes!
- Steam potatoes 15 min, slice thin. Coat with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, bake 20 min.

Buy more eggs every week!!!!
There's a lot of dishes in my sink, this new routine of more cooking will take some work to adjust to.
