Breakfast Braid
4 eggs
2 tsp flour
1 3/4c. chopped ham
1 1/2 c. shredded Colby jack cheese
1/4 c. chopped onion
1 tsp Mrs. Dash
2 Tbsp fresh parsley
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 beaten egg
2 tubes of crescent rolls
Parchment paper (important)
(I like green onions, red bell peppers and bacon as add ins)
1. Preheat oven to 375.
2. Scramble 4 eggs with Mrs. Dash, pepper and chopped onion until eggs are dry.
3. Combine ham, cheese, flour and chopped fresh parsley and mix with spoon.
4. Add cooled egg mixture to ham mixture, toss and set aside.
5. Unroll 1 pkg of crescent dough onto parchment paper the size of your cookie sheet. DO NOT SEPARATE. Repeat with remaining pkg of dough.
6. Using a rolling pin, or your fingers, seal the dough perforations. Will be approximately 12 inches wide.
7. On longest sides of sheet, cut dough into strips 1 1/2" apart, 3" deep using a Pizza cutter or knife. There will be 6" in the center for the filling.
8. Spread filling evenly over middle of dough.
9. To braid, lift strips of dough across mixture to meet in center, twisting each strip ONE turn. Continue alternating strips to form a braid. Tuck ends up to form a rim at end of braid.
10. Brush with 1 beaten egg with pastry brush.
11. Put braid with parchment paper onto large cookie sheet. Bake 25-28 min or until deep golden brown.
10 servings.
Don't let the braiding instructions daunt you, do it any way you like!! It's YOUR creation. :)

We tried it - it was delish!! I am going to tweak a few things next time but it was a big hit with the kids!! Blake - who hates food wouldn't stop eating it! THanks for sharing!
yummy :)
Tasha, I didn't like that much cheese in it, I used less in mine. More egg, less cheese. :) Andy likes it the other way around. ;)
Haha, I am with Andy. There can NEVER be enough cheese in anything for me! :) Jason is more like you - I guess you guys won't have clogged arteries! :)
