I'll warn you that what I'm about to say is neither thought out, nor something
that's truly crucial in any way. In other words, fluff.
I just have to wonder sometimes, what our kids will think, 10, 20 years from now about all these pictures of their parents. Sure, my parents took some self-portraits of each other...When they were on road trips and there was no one around to snap a shot for them. Yes, I've seen pictures of my mom in front of a waterfall, or a cool old car, or something of the like. With how much I've lived without my husband around during the day, I DO understand needing to snap a picture of you with your kids if you want to have something to remember...BUT...
Sometimes, I see "maternity couple shots", (NOT against them, just wonder why I have to see them...Not the cutsy, smiling ones...the "Ooo...alrighty then" ones) or the photos in front of the bathroom mirror....(why??) or the "there seems to be no other reason for this picture being taken except to say 'here I am, look at me' ".
I guess it's just a digitally charged generation and our kids will be used to it once they're our age. Am I getting old? Is that what this means that I'm even thinking about this?
Does this really matter? Nope.
I think it's time to go to bed.
What's funny is...we took pictures today. Ha.

I agree! :)
I often wonder why people take so many pictures of just themselves!?!
I've also thought about how when we take a bad picture of ourselves or our kids (eyes closed/half-open, goofy/cranky face, blurry, etc. etc.) we just delete them off the camera. When our parents were taking pictures, they never knew what they were getting and they developed the roll and kept every picture! Our kids won't really have "bad" pictures....
THAT is an excellent point Jessie! Everyone needs a bad picture. It keeps us grounded in our imperfection. :)
