Sobering Day.

I turn the tv on when the girls are playing in their rooms, watching as the media plays and replays videos, pictures, all of the massive devastation.

The girls both know what's happening,
it's just the images I'd like to keep from their small hearts.

These disasters are always incredibly hard-hitting, more so personally, the older I get.

I have to wonder...how many people in the last 24 hours died without knowing where they were going. It's an awful reality to face.

We've been warned repeatedly in the Word of God that we would see the days grow darker, that wars, pestilence and disasters would happen more and more as the time grows nearer for Christ's return. Does that make us lose heart, absolutely not!

Please don't let today escape without allowing your own heart to be penetrated and touched.

"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
