Truth

I was blessed today by my 6 year old, thinking for herself and applying what she's learned.

We bought her a World Atlas yesterday from a thrift store. She's been pouring over it

ever since. Animals, geography, volcanos, you name it, she's been soaking it all in.

She barely got past the first few pages of her new, heavy book before the evolution talk kicked in. 8 million years ago...Big bang....order from chaos. No divine design.

Andy talked through evolution with her, answering any questions she had. Their talk was fairly breif, she didn't have much to say....she went off to her room a bit later.

An hour later, she comes out of her room with her Bible in her hands. She asks Andy to sit on the couch and starts reading to him from Genesis 1:1. She read the story of creation, then smiled at him.

Oh that we could all have the faith of a child, one that accepts what the Word of God says as absolute truth. I think the Lord knew exactly what he was saying when he spoke of little children:

“I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3
