I'm still on love overload tonight. Agape love to be exact.
The kind that meets us right at our most vulnerable points and then over-powers us with supernatural blessings.
Only the Lord and Andy knew exactly where my heart was at tonight as I walked into the Summer Women's Dinner at our church. (remember, our church is literally in the 1,000's) I went alone, it's been a hard last few weeks, and I wasn't truly in the mood to branch out yet again, and without voicing it, I was pouting to the Lord that I didn't have a buddy to go with.
He foreknew that moment and had such a special gift waiting for me.
Not only did I end up seeing countless faces I knew, even a bridesmaid of mine I hadn't seen in ages, he had a special woman planned to be sitting next to me.
You'll have to ask me for the full story if you care for it. But remembering the size of our church, I'll jump right to the best part of the story and tell you that of all the families in our church, this gal sitting next to me happened to be the momma to a young girl and her daddy that Andy and Emma had sat next to on FRIDAY night at the Father/Daughter dinner. Emma had come home talking about meeting "Charley" and I just about fell out of my seat when my new friend started talking about her daughter "Charley". Come to find out, HER little one had come home talking about EMMA while their daddies had hit it off as well.
It gets better, both hubbies grew up in the same town and share incredible stories of God's redemptive power and love on their lives. 3 hours later, we'd found more similarities and were both tickled at God's plan for the night. We encouraged one another and I'm still positively giddy tonight in anticipation of what God has in store....
I dare you. I dare you to step out and let the Lord meet your needs.
He will, in His way, His timing.
