Valentine's Day 2000 

I returned home from a basketball tournament to find a adorable teddybear on my bed, holding a poem Andy had written for me. Here it is in all it's sappy glory. (note: we'd been "officially courting" for 1 month) 

You are perfect in my eyes in each and every way, 

for you seek to please God until your dying day

You love him above all else, above each and everyone 

and will not rest until His work is done

You will stand up for God without any shame 

and would suffer great loss for the safe of His name

I cannot imagine a woman more perfect than thee 

always full of such joy and glee

You are loving kind, gentle and sweet. 

When you smile at me, my heart skips a beat

When you look at me with your beautiful eyes, 

I pray to God that my love will suffice

I do not understand why God would choose me 

to be with a woman as perfect as thee
