2005
I keep wanting to begin each of these posts with "Oh, this is a special one..." but truth be told, they're all equally special to me.
Emma was 4 months old for this Valentine's Day and our hands were happily full. I wasn't expecting to celebrate V-Day with 'much ado' this year.
Andy shocked me once again (should have been used to it by now) and had a scavenger hunt of extremely clever riddles hidden all over our house that morning for me. Each riddle was another clue, guiding me to the next and also giving me a hint as to what our plans were for that evening. Poor guy, it took me quite a while to finish the scavenger hunt because he was so darn clever with the riddles!!
We ended up walking through the streets of downtown Boise together and going to a ritzy restaurant in downtown Boise to a private chef's dinner and wine sampling. A 3,4 sometimes 5 course meal selected ahead of time, with samples of the chef's most popular dishes with a different wine for each. (realized I don't like wine by the way)
Couldn't believe that Andy would have thought to put something that fancy together, and at a time when I was really feeling the "mommy factor". You moms remember what that's like with your first "Do I have a shirt without spit up to wear today?" "When did I last shower?" "Should I burn all my size 4 clothes?" etc.
Well, Andy made me feel like a queen, the queen of his heart. And I cherish every memory with this special man of mine.
