While making dinner and folding laundry tonight, I had Pandora on in the background, playing classical instrumental Christmas music.
Then it came....a flute solo in What Child is This.
Gorgeous. High, with perfect tone.
My fingers are aching to play again. To feel creative and enjoy the relaxation of playing music. My piano has been gone for 2 months and my flute has been in Oregon for 1 1/2 years. There's nothing I love playing more on my flute than Christmas music, and I feel completely re-energized to go back to the basics and renew my breath control and finger speed.
Let's hope little Mr. Coleman will like the sound of the flute.
