"I Do it!"

Firstborns innately want to be independent.

From Emma's first words (at an early age) we
knew how she felt..."I do it Momma!"

Creating something is a great way to let them take the reins
(in a non-control battle)
and have fun!

I love doing art projects with Emma, except that I feel my creativity takes a nose dive where glitter, glue and stickers are involved. :) I love buying pre-packaged art sets that we can assemble. A lovely friend of mine from CA has been a gold mine for sending the girls the cutest art projects, from puppets to pinwheels.
Yesterday, Emma made her own Christmas gift bags.

Today, it was a "Get Well Book" for our landlord who took a tumble off our roof yesterday. (He's ok minus 12 stitches to his forehead!) She included pictures of him falling, running to the hospital and getting stitches. Something tells me he'll need new stitches after reading her book, it's a hoot!

Laura-
Today was just braxton hicks contractions....the intense pain from last night only stayed through the early morning. We're left still guessing as to what's next! (2 more wks would be nice)
