I cried the day after Liam was born...but it was 90% due to my swollen feet and not being able to imagine things ever being back to normal. Of course the nurse had to come in just at that time and she gave Andy a look like "What did you say?"
Since then, I've been super impressed with my emotions the last 2 wks.
Except for a few instances....
Andy mentioned something a few days ago that I could expect Liam to do when he gets a bit older. "Older" being the key word. That set off waterworks.
Then last night, it happened. Tears from a commercial.
Doesn't every woman do this as some emotional low point and rarely want to admit it? It was a Kay Jeweler's commercial. Ugh. Can't believe I cried. "Open Heart Diamonds". Haha..
Believe me folks, we're no where near Emma's postpartum days...When a solo trip to the grocery store ended in tears over the fact that they were out of my favorite kind of bread...AND because of the dastardly deed of Andy pushing the cart with his hands instead of holding MY hand. It was tantamount to loss of love. ;) Amazingly at just 22 years old, he knew enough to just hug me and not laugh. ;)
(3 kids later, we laugh at the good and the bad days)
"Train a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6

All part of being a woman...might as well embrace it! (Besides, there will be lots more tears along the way) Menopause is another great hormonal imbalance that brings on the tears...oh joy!!!
