Our little man is one week old.
He had his first check-up yesterday, the only concerns are some slight jaundice (he's enjoying daily tanning sessions in the sunlight) and the fact that he's not back up to birth weight, 8.8 lbs.
We're gonna work on that this week.....food on demand. :)
Mom had a super early flight out town and we spent the day at home finding our new normal routine. This morning, the kids and I were all piled on our bed as I changed Liam's diaper...He was uncommonly quiet and relaxed. Emma ran commentary.
"Wow, this is definitely the most peaceful diaper change YET!"
It was so wonderful having Mom here the last 9 days. She cooked, played with the girls, kept up on our mounds of laundry and enjoyed plenty of baby snuggling. The girls did well with her leaving till tonight at dinner.
Emma: "This feels strange with Grandma gone, I feel like she's just upstairs."
Livy: "It's ok Emma, we get to go to Oregon someday!"
Emma "Well, it was sure nice while it lasted."
It sure was.
