School Year '11-12

Bring on the pencils, notebooks and Fall leaves!
It's book time.

Emma Grace and Momma.
We already love our new math program, language arts is part of our special time together. Emma was more than a bit proud that she tested at grade level 2.9 (2nd grade, 9th month) for her first placement spelling test yesterday. Her excitement was due to the fact that she happened to notice the scribbling on the page, and saw that her Aunt Alyssa, when going through this book, happened to test at level 2.7 at age 8. Haha. Emma asked if she could call Alyssa and tell her, I said no. :)
Livy Renae and Momma.
Olivia is diving into her workbooks with so much excitement and joy. We don't work for long every morning, but I see her pride in having a place in her sister's world of school and that's a happy place for Livy to be. We're concentrating on learning all the phonogram sounds and beginning to count money, among other skills. She is such a tactile learner...The more I put in her hands, the better! Playdough, foam puzzles and dice math games to name a few.
Before we prayed on our first morning, Livy said,
"Can I just say that I'm really, really, really excited!?!"
