Cakes!

This is the cake I'd like to make for Emma's birthday.
My baby girl is turning six, amazing.

It's going to be a first for me in a few areas,
#1 It consists of 4 layers
#2 I'll be trying my hand at homemade neoclassic butter cream frosting
#3 I MAY attempt to use molding chocolate for the leaves
(if my pregnant body will allow me the extra standing time in the kitchen)

If any of you baking lovers out there have any tips for me to try, I'd LOVE to hear your thoughts! (i.e. dying frosting, sculpting cake, piping vines without the expensive bags and tips)
I love tried and true ideas!

That is an AWESOME cake! :) I have done four layers a few times and it's a cinch...except mine aren't ever in an awesome pumpkin shape...which would make it more tricky! Let me know how it goes!

used a ziploc bag, cut off the end, works instead of buying the pastry bag.. but i would suggest getting the tips.. try michaels, you should be able to get a 40% off coupon from their website :) I never buy anything without a coupon there!

you should be able to do the molding of chocolate the day before so you won't be on your feet too much :)it should stay just fine under plastic wrap :)
