Shoes

My little girls do not follow in their mother's footsteps and each very much hold fast to that preconceived idea that GIRLS LOVE SHOES.

In a matter of weeks, BOTH girls have outgrown almost every pair of shoes they own.

Oye.

This is our first experience in needing multiple pairs of shoes at one time. I'm usually far enough out with yard sale finds, hand-me-downs, etc. that clothing needs don't catch me by surprise very often but I think I've been too focused this summer on boy clothes.

We let the girls try shoes on in the mall today. First of all, you'd think we let them into Disneyland when in reality we never left the JC Penney shoe department. We raided the 80% clearance shoes for next Spring. Livy's prize pair of $3.50 sandals actually light up. I never had shoes that lit up. ;)

Next we need to track down some boots and Mary Jane's for church.
Ok, I admit, I may buy myself a pair of boots too....CHEAP though.

I wore ballet slippers through more than a few piles of snow last year and the natives gave me "THAT" smile...never said anything but "THAT" smile alone says "There goes one of the stupid ones that freeze to death out here." (Just like on the movie "New In Town")
