It's pretty easy for me to think back to Emma and Livy as newborns and remember all the cutsy, fun stuff that comes along with that stage....
Then this evening, I looked out into my porch were I had stacked my yard sale finds of the day. A baby swing and papasan bouncer, and something hit me.
Oh wow.
We really are starting over!
Baby equipment, bottles, bibs, outlet covers...the works.
It doesn't scare me...it still excites me, but that doesn't change it's daunting factor once in a while. I think what changes most is your mind-set.
My kids are SO self-sufficient. They can dress themselves, brush their teeth, clean their rooms, make their beds, find their own snacks, etc. etc.
It's the fact that we're entering the total-dependency parenting again. But, with that comes the chance to snuggle a newborn...To watch my 2 big girls enjoy all of baby life....To go through all the "firsts" again.
Thankful for yard sale finds, and especially in the rain when people want to just get rid of things so they don't get wet. ;)
