We went to Madison, SD with G&G LeBoutillier on Memorial Day to visit my great grandparent's graves (Vern & Elsie Leeper). We also stopped at Gpa Gordon's alma mater Dakota State University. He told us a few great stories from his college days and we had to take a picture of the girls in front of this statue on campus, since it's been done with previous generations of LeBoutilliers.

Beautiful campus!

The girls were happy to wash off the stones, and Emma made it her mission to right all the flowers in the cemetery that the wind had already blown over that morning.

As I said, my Great Grandma Leeper was named "Elsie", which we'd just decided that weekend would be a wonderful girl name if we were to have a 3rd girl, she would probably have been Elsie Mae.
What little road trip would be complete without a stop at a sale, or thrift shop?! Well, we found a little flea market in downtown Madison to round out the trip. Fun to see the church G&G LeBoutillier was married in, and the house they first lived in, also where my great grandparents spent the last 30 years of their lives. It was a very nice Memorial Day.

Just for the record...Elsie was Andrew's Great-Grandmother's name too. On my paternal side.
