...skilled medical technicians who draw blood like pros!!
My morning included taking 5 vials of blood to test for a myriad of things, but I was so hesitant to go in...My last tech experience with Liam would have been laughable if it hadn't been MY arm they were poorly trying to hook into. After the SIXTH attempt to find a good vein, they finally called in the "big dogs" upstairs. That brilliant, loving man from the PIC team numbed my arm with lydocaine and got it on his first try. Bless him.
By the way, thank you for everyone who responded and contacted us privately about my cold intolerance issues. Apparently my symptoms are beyond the normal realm and we really appreciate our medical friends who gave us the push we needed to have some testing done. After researching online, we realized that I have a lot of other symptoms that I had chalked up to "weather change, getting older, lack of remembering vitamins, heart murmur etc.". It's a very welcome thought to think that all my "issues" lately might be due to one problem that's very treatable.
Results on Monday. (Or sooner, hoping for sooner :))
P.s. Apparently my husband reads my FB comments....I walked into our bedroom yesterday and he was making the bed....A bed I'd made that morning. That's not a normal sight so I gave him a strange look and he fumbled with "The kids must have messed up the pillows.." I let it go but I didn't believe him. :) He came into the kitchen where I was making dinner with a big smile..."Ok, come back into the room." He had me sit on the bed as he grabbed a strange dial and turned on the new HEATED BED PAD he'd bought me. I was so shocked. He had wanted me to be surprised that night when I got into bed but he knew I hadn't believed him that he'd just gone in to straight the bed (C'mon ladies...who would). He blesses me so much. I slept so warm last night.
