What a trip!

It was a whirlwind weekend for us! A Friday-Sunday trip that included driving through 3 states, visiting first our Ontario families quickly, dropping off our puppy and oldest daughter and then traveling up to Moscow, ID to see Alyssa & Zach.

The campus is gorgeous up at University of Idaho. Those old brick buildings with gnarled vines growing up the walls just pull me in. I could walk those tree-lined sidewalks every day.

It was so fun to visit Zach and Alyssa's first little apartment and meet their kitties.

My Olivia is very partial to Zach, I really think he's 2nd to Andy in her eyes. Although, Liv has a very "here today, gone tomorrow" personality, so that may be subject to change. But right now, Zach has top billing in her book.
The Arboritum on the school grounds is glorious. Oh, what a walk. Had the wind been a bit more calm and the air a bit warmer, it would have been sheer heaven.

The kids loved the fun of a hotel room, pool and all. Liam wouldn't go near the hot tub, much to the adults chagrin, that meant one of us had to stay in the cold pool with him. We all were craving heat after our walks in the sleet/rain/snow/wind.

It was a long drive back today and we just not walked in the door. I have to teach tomorrow morning, but I knew if I didn't blog about this, I wouldn't get a chance this week.

Did I mention my son turns TWO on Sunday? Oh my. (Lately, there's been no need to tell people how old he is...the cuteness can quickly melt into fits that match the age and season....Just a season....just a season....keep training....keep....going!!) :)
