Mom's List (Christmas Ideas)

I love to hear from parents who can recommend a terrific game or toy. Something well made and worthy of puncturing the family budget.

I picked this game up at a yard sale this summer for $2 and I have been thoroughly impressed! I'm currently using it in my 6-8 yr old class studying geography for our homeschool co-op. The age group is 8+, but my 5 yr old still finds it very fun, even if she's not reading every card.

It's colorful, fun and truly educational with a pinch of silly thrown in. Your kids will learn state capitals, nicknames, coastal states along with general regions and state neighbors. Definitely worth the money and something mom and dad will enjoy busting out too!

My personal game has the 4 maps as already being laminated, I can't find online if that's how they come brand new or not, but I highly recommend it!

I saw the game at Fred Meyer last night (no price was listed) and Wal-Mart has it for $14.97.

Have another great Christmas idea? Feel free to share

Thanks for the tip! We love to find new games, especially ones that are educational. :) We scored a board game called "Armor of God" at a thrift store the other day, and I love it! It's one I would definitely recommend!

Love it Wendi! We've found games still in the shrink wrap at thrift stores! Which stores do you like in Meridian? I'm a pretty loyal yard saling and internet buyer, but I would love a good thrift store recommendation!

Sorry, Nellie. I don't have any special thrift store recommendations. Just the usual, Goodwill and Idaho Youth Ranch. Some days I find great deals, some days I don't. :)

I loved the puppy cake! It was soo cute!
